Where is the Ice Hotel? The Ice Hotel is located at Jukkaskarvi, a tiny village in Northern Sweden, 200 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle. The village has only 1,100 residents. But each winter almost 50,000 guests from all over the world come to enjoy the experience of the Ice Hotel. The Ice Hotel is built beside the Torne River in the village.
The Icehotel is a hotel rebuilt each year with snow and ice in the village of Jukkasjärvi, in northern Sweden, about 17 kilometres (11 mi) from Kiruna. It is the world's first ice hotel. After its first opening in 1990, the hotel has been rebuilt each year from December to April. The hotel, including the chairs and beds, is constructed from snow Sweden;s famous Ice Hotel is one of the many wonders of the world. The main ice building is re-created every year using water from the Torne river in the village of Jukkasjarvi. In November 2016, the Ice Hotel will open ICEHOTEL 365, a brand new building that will house ice accommodation all year round!
